Saxophonist Brad Wagner originally hails from Akron, Ohio. In June of 2003, Brad received his B.M in Jazz Studies from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, and as of Spring 2007, is working on a thesis to finish the M.M. in Jazz Studies at Youngstown State University.

Brad plays, writes, and arranges for jazz, funk, blues, rock, R&B, latin, Brazilian, world music, and jam band configurations.

Wagner has been playing professionally since the age of fourteen in all genres of music on soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones, clarinet, flute, and piccolo. Wagner has been a member of The Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, The Johnny Mack Super Big Band, Ernie Krivda’s Orchestra Omnibus, The Marc Fields Sextet, Leroy Ellington and the E- Funk Band, has performed with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Akron Symphony Orchestra, Canton Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra, The Blue Wisp Big Band, Cohesion Jazz Ensemble, The Dave Banks Big Band, The Mark Gonder Group, Soul Pocket, Special Blend, Special Event, Swing Machine, The John Trapani Big Band, The Dan Wilson Quintet, the Dan Murphy Quartet, and many other fine musical establishments throughout the midwest.

Brad is currently an active member of the bands Special Request, Ernie Krivda and the Fat Tuesday Big Band, and a Jam Band named Eclipse. Wagner’s current projects include the Brad Wagner Sextet, and a Sax/Drum duo project with Seth Rogers. Brad has also performed in concerts backing artists including Kenny Garrett, Ahmad Jamal, Eddie Daniels, Jim McNealy, Kenny Wheeler, Don Braden, Sunny Wilkenson, Roland Vazquez, Ira Sullivan, John Von Ohlen, Mary Ellen Tanner, Bob Belden, Maureen McGovern, Al Martino, The Ink Spots, the Dells, and others.
